Reshaping Work to Address Employee’s Mental Health

Employers can no longer deny the impact that an employee's mental health has on work performance.  Recent trends to address this have focused on creating a work environment grounded in psychological safety; a construct reflecting an employee’s perception that s/he can speak up, ask questions, and voice concerns without negative consequences. Many Employers found it’s better to structure work in ways that prevent stress in the first place, but often couple this strategy with ways to treat the mental health condition as well.  Employers continue to evaluate the benefit of providing paid mental health days,  encouraging stretching and breathing exercises throughout the day, and offering enhanced Employee Assistant Programs to assist employees through post-COVID times.

Join us to discuss the impact of mental health on work performance, and the effectiveness of Employer tactics implemented to address these issues.
